These technologies, called lidar and sodar, can measure wind up to 300 meters by using laser and sound waves, and make increasingly more precise and accurate measurements compared to previous years.

Lidars and sodars are devices that are easy to install in the field due to their lightweight and compact structure. It is more preferred as a wind measurement system in areas that are difficult to access, in areas where it is difficult to install masts and in offshore projects. It is generally preferred for measurements with a duration of 3 to 6 months.
